Chamber News
New Board Members
The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has a full board! At May's board meeting, Kevin Stittsworth and Dustin Demoss were approved to fill vacancies once filled by Jason Everly and Hannah Vander Veer. Kevin will also be chairing the Marketing Committee. If you or anyone you know is interested in serving, nominations will begin in October. A list of the current board can be found here.
Chamber Lunch & Learns Have Begun
With a full board and a full-time staffed office, it was important that we begin offering programs that provide benefit for members and bring people together on a regular basis. Lunch & Learns over varying topics will be held once a month for one hour during the lunch. All members and employees can attend for free. Future programs and registration information can be found here.
Chamber Receives Grant
We were fortunate to receive a $6000 grant from the Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation in conjunction with the Knoxville Public Library. The money will be put towards updates to the Dixie Gebhart house to create a more inviting Visitors Center. An open house will be planned when work is completed.
