The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will hold a ribbon cutting at Randy Wilson Track on Friday, May 13 at 4:15 p.m.
The ribbon cutting will celebrate the completion of the new turf with a regulation soccer field at Randy Wilson Track. During the ribbon cutting, recognition will be given to the Weiler Foundation for their donation of $500,000, as well as the Ted Williams Estate donation used to complete the project.
In addition to soccer, the turf is also used as practice space for the Panther Marching Band and football program. It is also utilized by the community for club soccer and youth football programs.
Members of the boys and girls soccer teams and track teams will be present to help with the ribbon cutting. The event will be followed by homegirls soccer games beginning at 5:30 p.m.
