The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will celebrate the completion of the new Knoxville Middle School with a ribbon cutting on Friday, September 30.
Construction for the new middle school began on March 24, 2021. The middle school will deliver a 21st century learning environment for Knoxville students. The building is two stories and includes two gymnasiums, an indoor walking track, and a new weight room. It will connect to Knoxville High School by a gym space, but each building has a separate student entrance.
The ribbon cutting will take place on Friday, September 30 at 4:30 p.m. An open house will take place following the ribbon cutting. Community members and Knoxville alumni are invited to attend the homecoming parade prior to the ribbon cutting and attend the homecoming football game at Ken Locke Stadium that evening.
The new Knoxville Middle School is located off Willets Drive in Knoxville, just north of the current high school.
